Abstract:
The Blended Learning Platforms for Mathematics and Physics are used transdisciplinary at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. In terms of content, the entire spectrum of school knowledge is covered in these subjects. The ongoing development of additional gamification elements, a responsive design concept to meet the increased use with smartphones, and educational videos complement the platforms. The aim is to promote individualized self-study and to enable learning independent of time and place. The structure and functions of the platforms themselves focus on individual support, which is intended to stimulate and support independent and lifelong learning.

They include a wide range of exercises with solutions and self-tests at different performance levels. The Learning Platform for Mathematics currently contains a total of 3,643 practicing questions and learning videos in eleven mathematic categories. The Learning Platform for Physics currently contains a total of 1,595 practicing questions and learning videos in six physics categories. In addition, both platforms offer pre-assembled practice tests for the individual subcategories as well as scripts in the form of web links to the project partner mathe-online.at and as PDFs for download. Individual learning resources as well as entire tests can be integrated into learning management systems such as Moodle. Thus, the platforms represent a well controllable resource pool for teaching.

In order to benefit from the possibilities of digitization across universities and to provide a good range of learning opportunities we are always interested in productive exchange. At this moment, all content is available in german language. We are looking forward to cooperations to translate the content into english language.
