Abstract:
Social and economic reforms that take place in society are increasingly affecting the identity of the person, offend him and his freedom, place in a situation of stress, discomfort zone. With ever increasing frequency, we hear phrases such as: "you are overstepping the limits", "do not breathe down my neck", "you are violating my space". With ever increasing frequency, person focuses on one’s privacy, on the right to one’s own personal territory, own space, and observance of its boundaries. In this regard, we turned to the study of modern concepts - personal space, its sovereignty and characteristics of the functioning of its boundaries.

Psychological space in its broadest representation involves two aspects of human life - the individuality of one’s personality and interaction in society.

For instance, S.K. Nartova-Bochaver examines the phenomenon of psychological space of the personality from the standpoint of the subject-environmental approach. The phenomenon is presented as subjectively meaningful fragment of being. It determines the relevance of the activity and strategy of human life. It includes a complex of physical, social and psychological phenomena. A person identifies oneself with all of them, for example, through a personal territory, household items, attachments, attitudes, etc. And they, in turn, by acquiring personal meaning, are protected by person through any different physical and psychological means and methods available to him.

S.K. Nartova-Bochaver concludes in her studies that the failure of man to be in charge of one’s life is, precisely, in the weakness of the boundaries of the psychological space of personality. Hence, such vulnerability in the relationships of the personality with society, claims for personal property, territory, philosophy, and even body. On the other hand, this vulnerability manifests in the absence of internal restraining forces before entering of other people into one’s own personal space. From the point of view of the author, a so-called transparency of boundaries emerges, that is, personal space, at the quality level, looks like a shared apartment (where everyone can come in, where everything is shared), here the mind is also shared, there is no place for privacy, autonomy.

To conclude, having received confirmation of the correlation between psychological space and psychological boundary, we found out that boundaries are part of the structure of personal space. In our further research, we plan to conduct a study of personality traits in the structure of space of personality. The study will be conducted with high school students. The obtained knowledge is necessary for full interaction in the systems "parent-student", "student-teacher", as well as for the future development of training programs, psychological and pedagogical recommendations for teachers, parents
