Abstract:
In the previous two years, the whole world encountered a pandemic of COVID-19 in some form. Some people only by hearing, some people personally. Thus, restrictions by government, that were executed with the aim to stop the spreading of this disease, affected the activities of many institutions in countries. For this reason, there were implemented restrictions in forms of learning as well as in many other areas. University of Zilina was not an exception and had to react accordingly.

To decrease the possibility of spreading disease of COVID-19, University of Zilina changed in the spring of 2020 the form of study from face-to-face daily form of study to remote learning in some form of its combination. This lasted for a few months, up to summer of the same year, as the situation with the disease got better. However, situation changed during autumn, thus, students once again encountered studying from their homes. This lasted up to spring of 2021 for a whole summer term. To avoid this, the university implemented new measures of stopping spreading this disease, however, with the aim of sustaining the face-to-face daily learning for as long as possible. There were many responses to this, either from students or educators, on both sides of scales- either positive or negative. Thus, this paper is aimed to find out, how the students of on the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications perceive this situation and how their perceptions changed from the previous year, when the survey on the same faculty of this university was performed.

Terminology of the addressed issue will be processed, to which the methodology and the aim of the paper will be stated. After this, the results of performed survey from year 2021 (the end of the year) will be evaluated. At the end of the paper will be stated the comparison of perception of students on the stated faculty from previous year with the contrast of the perception in the year of 2021, after re-encountering face-to-face daily study. In the results will be included the evaluation of what students prefer after re-encountering both styles of studying.
