Abstract:
Nowadays, there are many ICT devices and technologies that can be used to learn a foreign language. In this digital age is also possible to learn a foreign language through various other specialized apps, giving the opportunity to learn a language around the world at any location with permanent availability.
The article identifies barriers to language mobile applications for instance lack of opportunities for work experience, fear of speaking with strangers, loss of motivation, expecting it to be easy and so on. The paper analyzes the applications of foreign language extension applications from which several applications have been selected. This paper characterizes language applications such as HelloTalk, Duolingo, ELSE Speak, Say it (English pronunciation). These applications and electronic tools facilitate language exercises and also support writing in a foreign language.Furthermore, such areas as digital game-based learning are characterised. The paper evaluates the results of the research carried out with university students . The aim of the research was to find out which of the selected applications is most used to improve foreign language learning. The results of the research indicated that the most used applications by the students are helloTalk and duolingo. HelloTalk is a popular application because it offers language improvement through chatting with other people, which creates room for real improvement. The aim of this paper is to identify the most used applications by students.
