Abstract:
The educational projects VIPSKILLS and ADD_ON_SKILLS, implemented within the Erasmus+ program, were designed to address the educational needs of students in response to the dynamic growth of the construction industry, the increasing popularity of BIM and IT technologies, the demand for greater mobility, and the expectations of employers. In order to achieve this objective, it is crucial to provide reliable and credible publications in the form of books and dictionaries that are based on the most current knowledge available. However, a noticeable gap exists in terms of freely accessible English-language books that cover modern technologies utilized in the European Union, specifically in the fields of HVAC, IT, BIM, and building energy efficiency. This article presents an analysis of the reception and impact of the books and dictionary developed as Intellectual Outputs within these two educational projects. Both the book and the dictionary developed as part of the VIPSKILLS project have been made available on the project's website, the Bialystok University of Technology website, and the Research Gate platform since their publication. The books delivered as part of the VIPSKILLS and ADD_ON_SKILLS projects have generated significant interest, as evidenced by the download statistics from project websites, university webpages, and the ResearchGate platform. The ResearchGate website, in particular, has served as a valuable hub for accessing a unique collection of publications by scholars worldwide. Notably, two publications have received exceptional reception: "Buildings 2020+ Energy Sources" and "Sustainable Buildings: Designing and Management of Cost-Effective and Eco-Friendly Systems," surpassing the download counts of other books by a significant margin. This observation provides valuable insights into the topics currently commanding the highest interest.Based on our analysis, we firmly believe that the discussed publications are valuable resources for students, teachers, and researchers worldwide. Across all partner universities, these books are highly recommended to both domestic students and Erasmus participants in disciplines such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, thermal energy, eco-energy, construction, BIM, IT, and related fields.
