ANALYSIS OF RESULTS OF E-LABORATORIES AND E-LEARNING USEFULNESS IN COURSES FOR ENGINEERS

The paper presents different kinds of forms of e-learning that were proposed as a part of the International Summer School under VIPSKILLS Erasmus + Strategic Partnership Project. Apart of typically used presentations and tests we proposed team tasks that needed cooperation in international groups of students, as a part of their projects. Students were asked to decide about Energy Management System in their buildings, as well as a gas installation and network. Moreover we delivered a few e-laboratories that allowed to learn an interrelation between parameters of tested systems. According to our course area, e-labs were connected with the RE (Renewable Energy) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning) systems, as well as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

The main objective of the course is to improve professional and personal skills needed in further work, paying attention on creative thinking and understanding relations between systems and structures in the building. Students of Environmental and Civil Engineering were expected to consider technical, economic and environmental indicators of their projects and analyse them.

The evaluation of our e-learning course was based on results of students tests conducted at the end of each part and opinions given in surveys about particular modules. Additionally, teachers and trainers pointed out the aspects that start anything on a stage of delivering and supervising the modules. Results of our analysis show areas of possible improvements and a line of further enquiry.
