Abstract:
The paper deals with the influence of mass media on the emergence of risk behaviour of primary school pupils. Mass media, in other words the mass media, including in particular press, radio, television and, last but not least, the computer network system of the so-called Internet, are tasked with reaching out, securing and imparting information to as many people as possible. The media currently plays an indispensable role in the lives of every individual, group and society, whether in a positive or negative sense. The influence of media on the recipient is with the development of new technologies, and especially with fast-paced electronic media, increasingly pronounced. The theoretical bases are defined by basic categories and concepts such as mass media and their influence on individual personality, as well as risky behaviour and specific phenomena of risk behaviour. The author also presents quantitatively oriented pre-research focusing on the influence of mass media on the emergence of juvenile delinquency. The aim of the research was to find out the views of pupils of the eighth classes of primary school on the influence of mass media on the crime of children and youth. The sub-objectives were to identify the extent to which pupils monitor the media, which use the media to the greatest extent, how they influence the prevention and the differences between boys and girls in the media to prevent crime. The paper presents methodological bases and results of the investigation.
