Abstract:
The twenty-first century information technology (IT) is becoming a powerful tool for educating students in study subjects of various industries in Slovakia, including the construction industry. New and innovative forms of teaching, teaching methods and teaching aids have begun to adapt to these technologies. In construction, IT development creates a growing potential for more sophisticated systems for designing, modelling, and building construction using three-dimensional modelling (3D). The essence of this approach is knowledge of the principles and techniques of 3D modelling and spatial visualization. 3D offers students the benefits of better perception of spatial contexts and the automatic generation of alternatives to the layout of the production space, which can result in a number of generated variants of the building's production area, which makes it possible to select the appropriate design. The aim of the paper is to point out the possibilities of using and possible vision of using 3D technology in the teaching process of technical vocational subjects. It is a presentation of the concept of a 3D modelling system for building equipment objects in a virtual site model, depending on a defined system of interactive parametric modelling.
