Abstract:
The last year's impossibility to travel and explore the museums and galleries increase the necessity of the new presentation of the treasures with immersive technologies.

This article presents a new interactive methodology for presenting and studying people, places (maps), and eras. This is a new educational approach to cultural heritage preservation, supported by a digital interactive system. It is well known from the past and has been rediscovered and improved now in the digital world.

The methodology is based on the description of an epoch, events, people, culture in which artists have worked. Each of them is a separate layer in an interactive digital platform. One type of layer is responsible for the biography of an artist, where he came from, what he created; another type of layer describes the settlements over the years - life, buildings, events, the third type presents the historical course of events globally for the region and the country. The matching of these layers builds the past. The creators and the reflection of the environment contribute to a more complete picture of it. The layers are based on 3D and VR objectives corresponding to the epoch or place. The artist knowledge layer is a meta-AR level to the history.

The platform could be used individually or in class. It is module-based and could be extended with maps or new artists and epochs. The museums and historical institutes could be the main source for further development. The sets of scenarios are built. The users can invent their own experiences.
