Abstract:

The article presents a practical exercise with students from the Cybersecurity major at the "G. S. Rakovski" National Defence College designed to be held in an electronic environment, due to the restrictions imposed by compliance with anti-COVID measures. A hypothetical enterprise from the energy sector of Bulgaria is presented. In its work, it uses computers that are connected to the global network. In a real network, isolated from the global network, a cyber attack was carried out on one of the components of the enterprise network. After that, the students continue, pre-divided into groups with different functional duties according to the algorithm approved by the Bulgarian legislation for actions in the event of attacks and crises in cyberspace. For official communication, students use their email addresses from the academy's server. The exercise ends with a report of all the letters sent to the various institutions according to the set algorithm for actions in case of cyber attacks and crises. The electronic environment allows reports, presentations and discussions to be made seamlessly.
