Abstract:
The execution of ERASMUS Programme in technical universities needs the solution of many specific educational and organizing problems. These problems are connected associated with differences in the educational systems for professional engineers in different countries and thus, with differences in curricula of study as well as in the course detailed programmes. The ERASMUS Programme has been performed in Poland since 1987. Despite its scope and objectives broadened during almost 30 years, the main idea remains the same - development of the international co-operation among universities. The approaches to ERASMUS Programme execution on the basis of Bialystok University of Technology and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology were presented. The educational offers for ERASMUS students, the effective methods of teaching and the ways of other problems solution were compared. The factors influencing the development of both student and teaching staff mobility were analyzed. The role of Erasmus Student Network was discussed. The effects of the experience from ERASMUS Programme on changes in process of education in both universities were presented.
