Abstract:
Professional communication competence is considered to be a vital competence necessary for each person in any professional context. The meaning of the notion is analyzed from the stand point of a competency-based approach and is viewed as threefold: the competence of communicating information, the competence of perceiving information and the competence of maintaining successful interaction. One of the constituent parts of the latter is business ethics skills. The goal of the article is to make a review of different approaches to viewing business ethics skills and elaborate a universal definition of this term taking into consideration the requirements both to a modern employee and an employer with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in a professional setting. This definition will serve as one of the basic grounds for educators training their students in different specialism fields. It will also allow researchers to work out models and programs for developing students’ professional communication competency.
