During their analysis, the author focuses on issues of social and educational policy in connection with the older adult generation. The author points to the similarities and differences in the individual countries’ approach to active ageing and highlights aspects, in which the policy in the United Kingdom may serve as a good example and an inspiration for solving the problems of older adults in Slovakia. The author perceives the whole issue in the context of non-formal adult education where he sees great potential for older adults.
