Abstract:
Higher education institutions worldwide are promoting a culture of plagiarism prevention through a variety of systems and innovations. The prevention of plagiarism is primarily pedagogical, but it must take place in collaboration with institutional management. In the context of global nursing education, combining the acquisition of knowledge and skills with impeccable ethical behaviour is a mandatory professional requirement for students. Educating nurses about their rights and responsibilities is of the utmost importance in achieving honest and ethical behaviour.
The purpose of study is to find out how nurses evaluate the acquired legal knowledge and awareness of plagiarism.
Data analysis is descriptive statistical analysis. A total of 171 nurses with at least one year of work experience in inpatient departments responded to the survey.
In the study it was found that the nurses rated the increase in their knowledge about plagiarism, their rights and obligations in the 4-point system with a score of 3.3, and their knowledge of plagiarism punishments with a score of 3.2.
In general, nurses agree that their awareness of rights and responsibilities, plagiarism and penalties has increased during their education. Nurses tend to disagree with the statement that they developed legal knowledge to work as a nurse during their training (score of 2.6 out of 4).
