Abstract:
Developing children's algorithmic thinking using digital technologies is a very topical issue. The digital environment, which consists of an interactive whiteboard and BlueBot robotic toys, has proven to be suitable for STEM Education in the age category of 5-6 year old children. The Qualitative research presented here has shown the comprehensiveness of the causal context of the robot world from the aspect of understanding and explaining of 5 - 6 year old children. The group discussion on the robotic world took place as a result of the implementation of various activities conducted by children at the robots exhibition in Bratislava (Slovakia). The aim of the qualitative study is to point out the meaningfulness and scientific justification of the relationships and dependencies identified by children.
