Abstract:
The education of students in the field of higher education it is in need of competition to compete and is in line with the requirements of economic practice innovation through the use of new learning methods, as well as regular reassessment methods and forms of education applied so far. The case of implemented traditional form of education is that students lack a comprehensive view on issues and the lack of understanding of the interdependencies between individual areas arises management. However, business practice points to the need for greater pragmatic diversification managerial skills of graduates able to effectively and comprehensively approach the solution particular problem situations.

The aim of the paper is to present partial results of the project KEGA 005UJS-4/2019 based on primary research focused on the effectiveness of selected alternative teaching methods in the context of their application used in higher education economics teaching.

The study clearly point to the fact that students consider as effectively practically oriented alternatives of teaching, possibly combined with the use of the Internet. The involvement of simulation software, gamification in teaching is demanded by students, on the other hand it takes into account the competitive environment in the labor market among university graduates, is a key tool for the university to prepare high-quality 21st century graduates with necessary managerial skills.
