Abstract:
The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence brings not only new opportunities but also new forms of risky online behaviour, particularly affecting children and adolescents. The paper focuses on analysing these phenomena with a special emphasis on the misuse of AI for creating and spreading so-called deep nudes – artificially generated pornographic or degrading images depicting real individuals without their knowledge or consent. This emerging form of digital abuse represents a new type of cyberbullying, online extortion, and violation of trust within school environments.

The theoretical part of the paper/poster defines the main types of risky online behaviour among children associated with the use of AI, including manipulation of images, voices, and digital identities. It then presents selected real-life cases of deep nudes appearing in school contexts, along with an analysis of their psychological and social impacts. Particular attention is devoted to recent legislative changes in the Czech Republic and abroad that address the misuse of AI technologies and strengthen the protection of children’s rights and online safety.

Furthermore, the paper/poster presents new data from the research project Czech Children in the Online World 2025, which includes findings on the prevalence of deep nudes and their connection to online extortion and other forms of digital violence.

In the final section, the paper/poster explores prevention strategies – both at the level of schools and educational policies, and within the framework of students’ media and digital literacy. The discussion also highlights ways to support teachers and parents in recognizing digital risks and fostering children’s resilience in the age of generative artificial intelligence.
