Abstract:
The article discusses the expediency of introducing pedagogical technologies into the modern educational process and the effectiveness of their use in teaching foreign languages, in particular, Russian as a foreign language. The subjects of analysis are the ideas of the famous Czech scientist John Amos Comenius (Czech: Jan Amos Komenský) on the technologization of education.
In this paper, special attention is paid to educational games as a form of pedagogical technology which play an essential role in the process of teaching foreign languages, including Russian. Educational games aimed at eliminating negative interference in the study of the Russian language in a Croatian-speaking audience are analyzed. Ways to prevent and minimize mother-tongue interference for Croatian students at lexical and grammatical levels in the study of the Russian language are proposed.
Educational games in the process of studying the Russian language are understood to be a tool that contributes to the improvement and development of students’ communicative skills, stimulates their speaking and thinking activity, improves creative abilities, and increases students’ independence and enthusiasm.
Examples of the most appropriate pedagogical technologies for teaching the Russian language to an adult Croatian audience (elementary level) within a language course in the absence of a language environment are given. Keywords:
