Abstract:
Converse to the traditional way of teaching, education for sustainable development means adopting a more holistic approach to education with the aim of "creating a better world for this generation and furure generations living on the Earth." The way how to cultivate mindset of our followers can be seen by encouraging sustainable lifestyle through education for sustainable development. Living sustainably means changing our attitude in a way that helps transform our lives into something that does not impact too heavily on our current routines while using the planet´s resources in moderation. In accordance with this idea and current challenges we have created an Educational Laboratory in the frame of an international project that joins collaborating European universities in order to enable the complex skills development, social inclusion, sharing democratic values and sustainable growth.This approach of education stimulates social, civic and intercultural skills development of students and as well teachers towards sustainable business, promoting learning and teaching ICT-based practices alongside with accelerated international cooperation between education, innovation and labour market. Through tematic focus on sustainble development goals and better use of innovation combined with digital technology, Educational Laboratory is focused on design, development, and multiplication of innovatiove pedagogical approaches. The effect is seen in virtual integration of innovative learning experiences with inputs on societal perspectives, enhancing learners´ readiness to operate sustainable businesses by multidisciplinary views on economic, social, environmental and business governance issues. By making the best use of modernized learning curricula with ICT pedagogical approaches, we have created a learning environment for university students, academics and practitioners in order to give them opportunities for interactive learning and understanding of multicultural challenges steering social competence and knowledge of eco-systems sustainability. The outcomes bring forward an innovative cross-discipline collaboration inside the education, training and learning settings through blended learning, e-learning, and flipped classroom with strengthen the dialogue on sustainable business development between educators and learners, enhancing teaching-learning process and content.
