Abstract:
The research paper evaluates the extent of current international aspects of university-business cooperation related to the programmes in the field of Technology and potential for its development. The study is exploratory and is based on qualitative interviews with managers of industrial companies. Business representatives value internationalization most as a way to access global knowledge and talent pool to increase innovation. Most potential for enhancing cooperation lies in international research and development projects. However, the current experiences are mainly related to the student projects supervision and workforce recruitment. The findings can be used by universities for developing a dialogue and strengthening cooperation with industrial partners. Universities should more actively promote the international cooperation opportunities to companies to increase their awareness and consequent involvement.
