Abstract:
In this article, a foreign language is considered as one of the leading disciplines in the educational process, where the subjects of training are representatives of generation Z. The work reveals the main features of generation Z. The authors substantiate the contradiction, which consists in the discrepancy between the mechanism of teaching foreign languages of representatives of the new generation, their personal characteristics and the key characteristics of their thinking. In this regard, the work pays special attention to the psycholinguistic component in teaching foreign languages to representatives of generation Z. The authors have identified several categories of problems that accompany the linguistic training of students who belong to the digital generation. The emphasis is on combining traditional and modern teaching methods, expanding the basic set of Internet opportunities in the process of teaching foreign languages. The important role of blended learning in unlocking the creative potential of the modern generation of students is outlined. Also, several groups of exercises are proposed within the framework of all types of speech activity, which can be successfully introduced into the process of foreign language education of a new generation of children. In general, the presented article deals with the choice of an effective mechanism and style of teaching foreign languages to representatives of generation Z in order to develop their personality, expand the range of educational opportunities, intellectual potential, which ultimately leads to the creation of professional competence of future professionals of our time.
