Abstract:
Research conducted over the last decades has shown the influence of the leadership of directors on the school's climate. Most of them focused on estimating the impact of leadership on the climate perceived by teachers, and less on students. The study attempts to capture the direct impact of school heads' leadership styles on the school climate perceived by students. The six styles of leadership taken into account come from the GLOBE project: Charismatic / Value-Based Leadership, Team-Oriented Leadership, Participative Leadership, Humane-Oriented Leadership, Autonomous Leadership, Self-Protective Leadership. School climate perceived by pupils were: relations between students, relations between teachers and students, tie with school and perception of teaching. The research was carried out in 35 schools using a questionnaire filled electronically by directors (35) and students (3764). The results point to the different impact of leadership styles on the school climate perceived by students.
