Yearlong cooperation on projects of Faculty of Pedagogy of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and the National Forestry Centre in Zvolen resulted in innovation of teachers education in the field of forest pedagogy. Teachers utilize these innovative approaches mostly in educational areas Human and Nature, Human and Society, Human and the world of work, Human and Values. Teachers find in this innovative education a methodical help of experts – forest pedagogues and rangers – in preparation of educational activities related to topics about forest environment, they experience professional guidance in forest environment with the use of specific forest pedagogy educational tools. The goal of the education program for teachers is to deepen their knowledge and reinforce their skills in the field of environmental education on a forest example with the use of forest pedagogy experience learning. Besides deepening and enrichment of contexts of the topics, educational activities are also focused on innovative approaches, which are related to the forest education, to a ranger’s profession, to the forest protection awareness creation with an emphasis on sustainability.
