Abstract:
At present, the quality of life of people with disabilities essentially depends on their ability to receive high-quality higher education. Ensuring barrier-free access to higher education for persons with disabilities and persons with disabilities is one of the priorities of state policy.

In order to create conditions for social adaptation of students with disabilities and disabilities in the educational process, taking into account their individual capabilities, the Center for Inclusive Education has been established and is successfully operating at the Ural Federal University.

However, apart from the existing barriers of a different nature, which impede the implementation of inclusive education in Russian universities, a special problem is the non-adaptation of educational programs of the university to the individual educational needs of this category of students.

In order to solve the problem of adapting programs for people with disabilities, the University has developed the first in Russia, a unique online adaptation module.

The developed module is aimed at developing students' practical skills of adaptation and socialization: conscious self-regulation, self-presentation, stabilization of self-esteem and effective interpersonal interaction.

The adaptation module is unique not only because it is the first in Russia, but also because all 48 sections and topics of the course are adapted for people with both hearing and vision impairments. Thus, each course topic is presented in three versions.

The module can be used as a low-cost and effective way to adapt higher education programs for people with disabilities for universities in Russia and foreign countries of any type and status. The module is planned to be placed on the federal online platform openedu.ru and on the largest international online education platform edX by the end of 2019.
