Abstract:
The impact of globalization and the development of knowledge society brought changes for higher education institutions. Their survival solely depends on the quality level of their services therefore, they have no option but to adapt to the era in which they function. The development of information communication technologies has shaped learning environment that incorporates web-based didactical approaches. However no one contemporary web-based course can answer all the learners needs. To realize the true potential of contemporary learning settings blended learning, being a hybrid of traditional face-to-face classroom learning and some kind of online or web-based learning, has been proposed to be the means of development of higher level of knowledge and understanding.

The purpose of the paper is to provide a discussion about the emerging blended learning techniques within educational institutions that fundamentally alter traditional learning environment with the aim to reach upmost effective results that enables successful entry of graduates into the world of work. The core of the discussion lies in recognizing the complexity of its implementation. Blended learning serves as a powerful instrument for potential change in educational systems where links between theory and practice can become firmly grounded and through which contemporary learning techniques can be applied as the means to develop appropriate teaching and pedagogical strategies that meet student’s needs. Matching teaching methods with students’ learning style preferences enhances development of knowledge and deepens understanding. The research design of the study is based on qualitative review by which educational management implementation based on blended learning model is being proposed as the fitting answer for achieving pedagogical excellence.
