Members of foreign nationality bring their expectations to Czech education, but also a number of their cultural differences and specifics that affect the education of their descendants.

The aim of our paper is to specify and evaluate the role of the family in the issue of education and the formation of the value of education among Ukrainians pupils. From the position of parents, parental attitudes to school education of children, expectations from education of children in the Czech Republic and its reflection, parents' attitudes to school performance of children, preparation for school, degree of cooperation between parents and pedagogical staff are ascertained. From the pupils' point of view, it is found out how they perceive the influence of the family on their education and how the family influenced them in this respect.
