Abstract:
Present demographic changes indicate that there is a growing number of young people, i.e. students, who use their mobile devices every day and this fact should be reflected in language education. Learners prefer this way of information transfer and education, m-platforms are becoming more and more popular. Therefore, educators have to take these trends into account and reflect them in curricula development. It also brings many questions, such as how to optimize educational process, how to improve the information transfer and how to eliminate potential pitfalls of the use of mobile platforms. The use of mobile apps seems ubiquitous in younger generation; however, educators are still a step behind. Mobile technologies have high potential to be implemented more into educational process, however, we have to identify and describe how. The purpose of this article is to describe methodological approaches of a project to be implemented in order to analyze and evaluate whether learning supported by smartphone app can help enhance students’ performance and achievement results, especially in the teaching of English.
