Abstract:

There are great and rapid changes occurring in the dimension of countries, continents and the whole globe nowadays. A dramatic technology development is the driving force of these changes. Happening changes should find their reflection in the process of educating at the higher education institution. The contemporary higher education institution should prepare conscious recipients and users of the information technology, future citizens of the information society. The IT education will help in better understanding of the surrounding world and in applying to constantly changing working and living conditions. It will also help to keep up with changes and pace, to improve the abilities and refresh ones knowledge. Therefore there are profound changes taking place at the traditional universities, which are based on broadening the offer of the teaching yeah with new forms of studies, introducing various forms of the postgraduate education, absorbing information and multimedia modern technologies thus supplementing well-known face-to–face form of education and implementing the distance training with the help of Internet connections more and more universally.
