Abstract:
21st century is characterized by a new social and cultural situation where development of individual skills and creativity potential is essential. People's skills, knowledge, creativity and talents play vital role in the development of any country. Art field include content-wise the creation of new productions to improve the quality of human life. During the age of society changes it is revealed explicit dynamism and changes: it takes place transformation of traditional culture, dominates crisis of social values and economics, and information and communication technologies sharply flows into art processes. Today, the rapid change has caused interest about the individual’s creative personal growth, but at the same time, caused the degradation of values and cynicism. Overall, it outlines a number of relevant issues to be tackled in the implementation of art education, as breaking down stereotypes of thinking, innovation and design are closely interrelated and mutually supportive some topical research aspects: 1) Orientation of the art education to the development of associative and critical thinking; 2) Future artist's ability to create innovative ideas, visions and values; 3) Individual’s development of creative thinking. Therefore, it is important to understand the characteristic components of creativity, possibilities of integrating cognitions of science and practice in creative innovation technologies in art education to promote the development of the creative potential of the artist's professional activities. Research aim: to clarify the future artists’ understanding of creativity, its expression characteristics and its compatibility with theoretical cognitions. Methods of the research: theoretical analysis of art historians, pedagogical, philosophical, psychological literature, documents and strategic guidelines; qualitative data acquiring methods: structural students’ and teachers surveys. Results of the research demonstrate that future artists understand the complex nature of the creativity and can indicate significant components confirming creativity in practice. The idea mapping process allows the expression of brain activity potential picturing thoughts with keywords, and is the opposite of linear thinking process. Development of the idea map in the context of selected topics is an important tool to expand the future artist's range of associations and to best implement the creative potential in the field of art. Its development encourages focussing, creates a sense of freedom, contributes to a more detailed understanding of the topic, develops associative thinking, and helps structuring ideas, discovering innovative ideas and opportunities for research-based art education. Improvement of art education in today's context is associated with the implementation of the relevant content in the context of the era, overcoming stereotypical thinking, integration of creative thinking strategies in the process of preparing future artists.
