Abstract:
The students of School of Foreign Languages at Selçuk University, Konya, Turkey are being exposed to a-20-hour English every week. They are using their course books and some other prepared materials in the class and they are preparing their homework projects using pen and paper. The teachers are using CD players as a class equipment to make students listen to the tracks in the course books and workbooks. However; is it enough to use a course book, a board and a CD player to enhance language learning and provide and continue liveliness and interest in a foreign language on behalf of our students?
The students of this academic year have registered their online classes for the first time. In this virtual class they are spending extra 200 hours learning English outside the class with different kinds of activities on different skills. In this study it is aimed to find out by means of a questionnaire what students feel and think about this application, what experiences they have had related to this issue and to what extent they are really into computer and internet assisted learning in terms of foreign language learning.
