Abstract:
The initiative of the introduction of European education is being held by the implementation of the Bologna reform in Europe and Russia. For more than a decade, Russia has been involved in the Bologna process, which required the reform of the education system. The focus is on two subject areas of the reform - the introduction of a three-level system of the bachelors, masters and doctoral students' training. The signing of the Bologna agreement led to a radical structural modernization of the entire educational system, and a change in the paradigms of education. In the program of bachelor's training in the “Technology of printing and packaging production” direction there is an addition to the basic theoretical base as the practical laboratory classes with the composite materials of the Moscow State University of Food Production (MSUFP). The results of work with students at the MSUFP showed that graduates are able to give development to various industries by their innovative views and ideas, but to achieve this, it was necessary to strengthen some aspects of the educational program. According to this, the purpose of the work was the analysis of the methodological approaches of introducing priority research projects, such as the working out of biodegradable polymeric materials, chemical and physical modification of polymers, the creation of packaging with antimicrobial properties in the process of the training of bachelors.

At the first stage of the study, the workshop system was introduced to improve the level of training of highly qualified personnel in the field of the packaging production at the MSUFP, which allows a student to immerse himself in the structure of various packaging enterprises and departments during the studies. Students in the process of studies solved complex tasks, from the selection and working out of polymer materials to the technology of packaging the product, creating a brand and promoting it on the market. In the process of training the international scientific and practical conferences and seminars were organized, where representatives of the leading packaging enterprises gave a speech and students demonstrated their projects. Beginning with the third year, students conducted scientific research in the laboratory of composite materials. In addition to the main research projects (the creation of biodegradable polymer materials, the development of packaging with antimicrobial properties, etc.), the themes of the projects were expanded depending on the needs of the enterprises and the development of science.

To process questionnaires, students used statistical methods of data processing and analysis of software. As a criterion for assessing the level of competence of students, the average score of the answers to the tests in the following disciplines was selected: "Materials in the packaging industry", "Packaging production technology" and evaluation of the design project of packaging for various products.

The analysis of testing showed an increase in the level of competence of students. Thus, the introduction of the research projects increased in the level of the competence of students, which led to the growth of the demand for the university graduates by the packaging and food industries.
