Abstract:
If we analyse the activity of the vocational training teachers from the psychological point of view and it lets us possible to say that this profession is one of the most emotionally and intellectually tense. The teaching profession is associated with extreme situations more often. In current conditions, most teachers do not have necessary life skills and experience to behave in extreme situations and to overcome them effectively.

The psychological analysis of the activity of vocational training teachers makes it possible to say that this profession is one of the most emotionally and intellectually tense. We have analyzed the events of the last five years and we have come to the conclusion that extreme situations in educational establishments happen with an astonishing frequency. Teachers of vocational training must have not only theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of their discipline, but also communication skills, emotional stability. In their everyday professional activities teachers face extreme circumstances such as economic instability, negative behavior of students, prejudice attitude of authorities, the wish of students to establish themselves at the expense, a large amount of methodical workload. Considering the concept ‘extreme pedagogy’, we have found out that it is mainly used in the training of the military officers, workers of law enforcement agencies for extreme situations. However, teaching activity is not practically investigated within the framework of this problem. The implementation of elements of extreme pedagogy in the educational process in a higher educational establishment will make it possible to form emotional stability and mental resistance to extreme situations of future teachers. The resolution of the extreme situation in pedagogical activity depends to a large extent on the ability of the teacher to manage his emotions in order to prevent the violation of inner balance and to gain control skills over stressors and the level of emotional stress on students. Extreme pedagogy should ensure the ability of the future teacher’s psyсhe to be in an optimal state within the framework of his being in an extreme situation.

We took poll of students of the Professional Pedagogical Institute. 182 bachelor degree students took part in the poll. Most students believe that extreme situations are a negative factor in the pedagogical profession and they are not ready for them.

We believe that the implementation of extreme pedagogy in the educational process is a promising direction for pedagogical research.
