Abstract:
Education is one of the distinctive features of social reality. First of all, people go through education during their studies. Then they deal with education through family affairs. In addition, someone may be professionally associated with education. In any field of human activity\life it is possible to find some educational aspects relations with education. Anyway, it is possible to find some educational aspects in any sphere of human activity as it is somehow connected with education. Thanks to education, society as a whole can surely not only maintain its condition, but also improve it\develop. With regard to the above, it is appropriate to conclude that education refers to essential aspects of human activity.

But unfortunately, practice proves that at present many students do not consider education a necessary aspect of their life. This is evident in the reluctance of students to engage in educational activities, the lack of interest in the academic materials\curriculum and, as a result, students’ poor progress. Thus we can conclude that most students, without learning the educational material (specified by Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education) graduate from higher educational institutions being uneducated.

The purpose of our research is to determine the level of development of axiological attitude to education of first and second year students in South Ural State University.

In order to achieve this objective, the study set and achieved the following objectives:
1. Characteristics of students’ axiological attitude to education are defined;
2. Criteria for students’ axiological attitude to education are defined;
3. Progress levels of students’ axiological attitude towards education are defined;
4. A questionnaire to determine the development level of students’ axiological attitude to education has been developed;
5. Comparative analysis of questionnaire results of first and second year students at South Ural State University was carried out.

Our research records positive trends in the development of axiological attitude to education of second year students at South Ural State University. This fact proves that year by year of study at the higher educational institution, students develop a positive attitude to education, as they see the importance of education for their future profession and life activity. This is the main predicted result of the implementation of the main goal of the educational process: the development of positive axiological attitude of students to education.
