Abstract:
For the past few decades the standards and procedures in recruiting young professionals have significantly evolved, and furthermore, the range of expected accomplishments has undergone a change. Qualification requirements for neophyte employees comprise now not only formal education background and ‘soft skills’, but also a set of abilities known as ‘transferable skills’.
This article focuses on theoretical foundation and empirical expertise for developing cutting-edge competences and building up professional confidence in the context of Higher Education. Thorough research and in-depth analysis of an innovative Professional Approach to Translator Training (PATT) revealed an emerging necessity of integrating PATT into translation classes on International Journalism undergraduate bachelor's degree course. Based on the cloud environment for computer-assisted translation web application the results of the simulated project work proved to have a positive effect on learners’ transferable skills development and translation competence progress.Keywords:
