Abstract:
Given the growing importance of artificial intelligence in various fields and its impact on society, it is important to understand how future leaders and professionals perceive it.This pilot study focuses on exploring the views and experiences of artificial intelligence among university students in the Czech Republic.

In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has also started to be applied in education, at all levels. College students are often aware of the potential of AI, but are they also concerned about the negative impacts it could have on society?

The results of the pilot study provide a comprehensive view of how university students perceive AI, how and why they use it in practice, and their views on its use in different areas of social life. Online questionnaires were used as a data collection tool, including questions about experiences with AI, opinions about its use and concerns about its use in the future.

The findings of this paper may be useful for organisations and institutions involved in the development and use of AI to understand the views of future generations. This study also provides a necessary foundation for further research in this area, such as in particular issues relating to the ethical and safe use of AI, whether at the level of students or the wider public.
