Abstract:
We develop further the concept of the three agent education environment platform proposed earlier by D. Suleymanov (1). Our approach is based on the active digital learning environment paradigm, where the Learner, The Teacher and The Platform are equally active participants of the education process. We show how this is connected to the shaping of the student as the self-motivated learner, speed up the new knowledge acquisition, affect retention and fight frustration in students.

We also describe the current digital tools and the platform architecture being currently developed. The platform is based on the open architecture, and it is built around the data bus that allows various tools connect to the platform and communicate to each other. The core set of the digital tools provide: LMS connectors set, usage data storage, tracking of the student learning path and performance, intelligent analysis and personal curriculum design, communication service, natural language analysis tools, identity tracking and management, virtual environments for the learner and the instructor.

We show how this platform integrates with the mixed learning environment, and provide basic use cases and recommended fields of application, based on our own experience and experimental data acquired during our teaching experience at the Kazan Federal University.

We also show how the paradigm can be extended beyond education platforms, and share our experience of the application of the Three Agent Paradigm for designing the digital tools in law. We also show several other possible applications of the proposed paradigm.
