Abstract:
Self-confident, happy, creative, curious, honest, innocent, sincere, full of energy, free …
Yes, this is a child.
But what changes them?
Today’s society and education system turns children from their own dreams and amazing bewilderment to logically thinking and reasoning and adult’s choice and make them fall. This will make the kids brain bigger while make their hearts smaller.
Most of us lose our sense of wonder, imagination and creativity through the conservative education system at schools. We lose looking, hearing and thinking in a new way.
The power of teaching is in its own weakness. Teacher’s duty is not to declare realities but to provide the necessary situations for learners through which they can reconstruct the reality themselves.
But the current education system is destroying curiosity and creativity rather than nurturing and enhancing it.
If the human’s mind comes out of steadiness, it will turns to creativity and inventing.
If we, the adults, in our intellectual system and in our gaining concepts have freedom and flexibility like our childhood and try to see people and objects as they are, not as we want to or they look like, we can have another look to the life.
Coming back to the inner child is known as one of the fruitful periods of human’s life in progressing the creativity and sense of beauty.
This project dedicates to demonstrate children's point of view about life and shows it to adults through creative designs in order to make their inner child alive.
By looking the world through children's opinions, we may see ourselves, the others and the outer world in a new way.
During implementation process 500 pupils in the age of 7-14 years were invited to take photos and draw about happiness. We then designed some creative “Bookmarks” with those photos and paintings.
In this project, you would find some aspects of life that we've overlooked. These aspects represent pure look of children towards life.
