DATA ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF ONLINE LEARNING ON STUDENTS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract:
The Covid-19 outbrake forced all social activities in Morocco to switch to online mode. Since March 2020, the WHO announced the Covid-19 as a pandemic, all universities around the world. In this regard, Moroccan government took measures to avoid spreading the virus and to ensure the continuity of the educational process, and all Moroccan universities including Al Akhawayn University shut down their campuses and adopted online teaching method. The university adopted online learning for three semesters now, which has affected students learning on many aspects. Therefore, we can ask ourselves: Does distance learning have a negative impact on online students? To assess students’ opinions about this matter we conducted a survey in which we asked 100 undergraduate students in Al Akhawayn University. Data was gathered using an online questionnaire and analyzed using Python Data Analysis packages. This paper reflects and interprets the results obtained in the study taken from a survey done on Al Akhawayn Students concerning the overall online teaching experience during this pandemic.
The main objective of this study is to analyze and predict student performances with regards to the new online teaching method due to COVID19. The paper will answer the problematic by presenting five steps: Data collection, Data processing, Data visualization and results interpretation.Keywords:
