Abstract:
The Intelligent Student Concept is described in a practical manner, in this paper. It could be presented to students in a form of lecture which aims to boost their intelligence, learning possibilities, desire for development and overall performance.
It is important students to be thought science and different common subjects at schools and universities, but it is as well very important for them to know what are the possibilities of their bodies and especially of their minds as human beings, what’s their own influence over their own lives and what they should expect to happen in future, because that knowledge will help them to understand why they should work hard to develop themselves, how to develop in a correct way and will allow them to succeed faster, which will improve the quality of life of all of us.
The students, often, aren’t thought how to develop their possibilities in a correct way at schools and universities and what they could expect to happen with their lives in future. Our experience points out that very often most of them don’t think about the future, don’t want to take responsibility and don’t know how to work and develop themselves in a correct way and why they should do it. This type of ignorance makes them wonder aimlessly while the time passes and they fall behind with their development from which struggles the whole society. They are often disappointed and without faith in the future and don’t understand that they are the ones that will shape their own destiny and that they have the power through educated intelligent deeds to change it towards good. They often confuse potential with real capacity because of many good words they have heard for themselves from others which misleads them to think that they are already great and make them doing nothing about their true potential and skill development. At the same time they are attacked from all ways with sleek technological toys and games that steal their lives from themselves and lose irrevocably their time and potential for real value life. The undeveloped on time potential is irrevocably lost potential, which is the meaning of the old Bulgarian saying “The iron should be formed while it is hot”. All of these factors take all of us down the enchanted spiral of decline, because our lives depend on us, but also on the people around us. If our fellows fall down we all fall as one society and the more we sink the more difficult out lives become.
The solution of all of these problems is hidden in the education system because education is the activity of disciplining, cultivating, civilizing and moralizing man, and its purpose is to develop in the individual all the perfection he is capable of [6].
The aim of this paper is to present the first part of the interactive lecture “The Intelligent Student” that has been developed over time and presented many times in front of students, who find it very interesting and helpful. The lecture is interactive because while it is being presented, students are directly involved in it through many questions and examples that concern their own lives. A good conversation with personal examples is always necessary because it improves learning gains, by making things more personal [4]. This type of active lecturing is important because schools are social places and learning is an intrinsically social process [5,10].Keywords:
