Abstract:
The subject of research on stressful states of personality is significant and relevant in modern society. The intense and strained life of a person affects a change in psychological terms. In connection with this person, negative emotional experiences take hold, which entail negative consequences, prolonged stressful states.

The article demonstrates material which characterizes the significance of the psychophysical training of a future specialist in high school. In the course of the study, the possibilities of developing ways of self-regulation of emotional states were determined among students, as well as the main directions of preparing students for mastering the methods of self-regulation of these states were also identified. For identifying the effectiveness of the formation of methods of students’ self-regulation of emotional states, the following methods were used: “Anxiety of students” (the modified questionnaire by J. Taylor), the method of “Determining the level of neuroticism” (developed by L.I. Wasserman), and the E. Bake depression scale. The article presents the results of an empirical study on the process of forming ways of emotional self-regulation in the university practice of specialist training.

The practical significance of the study associates with the possibility of mastering and using by future specialists methods of self-regulation of emotional states to prevent and overcome stress.
