Abstract:
The paper focuses on the specifics of the education and training centre of the South Bohemian Region Medical Rescue Service. The South Bohemian Region Medical Rescue Service provides continuous pre-hospital emergency care in the territory of the South Bohemian Region (Czech Republic). The aim of the paper is to characterize and evaluate the specific activities of the education and training centre of the medical rescue service as a specific educational module using a case study in the conditions of the South Bohemian Region. The education and training centre provides educational, training and methodological activities in the field of professional pre-hospital emergency care and first aid. The case study characterises the different spheres of training and other activities, which are directed internally to the organisation's own staff and externally to other emergency and safety services, as well as to schools and the public, and possibly to other interested parties. The authors used the literature search, analysis of available information, subsequent synthesis of partial knowledge and the resulting deduction as a method of research, when the authors came to a new conclusion from the received statements. The contribution and novelty of the article is the authors' reflection on the topic of education and training centre of medical rescue service. The reflected examples of education and activities of the education and training centre are aimed at ensuring the protection of life and health in case of their damage and providing first aid and urgent professional pre-hospital care. The characterised activities result primarily in strengthening the basic resilience of communities, self-help and safety in case of first aid. This model responds to current demands and trends in development.
