Abstract:
For each level of education and for all educational disciplines in the Czech Republic, so-called framework educational programmes are issued, which set specific objectives, forms, length, compulsory content of education and other binding standards. The aim of the study is to elaborate the characteristics of individual areas of the framework educational programmes for primary education, which include safety topics. This is a specific area of the educational programme of schools in the Czech Republic, which is currently the focus of attention due to security problems in recent years, e.g. Covid-19, Russian aggression in Ukraine, natural disasters. The authors used the literature search, analysis of available information, subsequent synthesis of partial knowledge and the resulting deduction as a method of research, when the authors came to a new conclusion from the received statements. The contribution and novelty of the article is the authors' reflection on the topic of education in the field of safety. From the elaborated reflection and characteristics, it is evident that the individual topics of safety education are spread among the different areas of the framework educational programme. The occurrence of these topics and their incorporation in education can be positively assessed. On the other hand, their lack of concentration in one coherent subject that synthesises the security topics is perceived negatively. It is clear from the study that the theoretical elaboration of safety education should result in the constitution of a theory of safety education as a relatively independent discipline.
