Abstract:
The use of augmented and virtual reality is currently becoming more frequent. The various sectors and areas of use only emphasize its universality. Due to these facts, the functions of specialized software as well as the devices used to cooperate with these technologies are becoming more widespread and user- friendly. The combination of these facts therefore allows us to implement these technologies into the educational process. This publication represents the integration of augmented reality into the process of teaching technically oriented subjects. It is well known that the full-time form of teaching these subjects often encounters obstacles in the form of insufficient ability to read technical documentation and axonometry, which often requires increased attention and individual approach. This issue is addressed in the publication by integrating augmented reality into the teaching of a particular subject by creating interactive technical documentation. Technical documentation, contains all standard and graphical information, which are used as a basis for creating the so-called markers, used to start the interactive part. Subsequent presentation of objects in 3D with implemented CAD software functions such as rotation, scale, sequences of orthographic views, or display of other technical details of the displayed model, are presented to the students with help of android devices. Thanks to the possibility of cooperation with these equipment , it is subsequently possible to extend this type of support for the educational process among selected groups of students.
