Abstract:
The rapid oncoming of disruptive technologies has changed the way the teaching-learning activities are performed globally. The corona virus crisis has further hastened the process of this change. Educational institutes, teachers and students must equip themselves with new modalities of teaching and learning to face this twin challenge of disruptive technologies and innovation.
Blended Learning using synchronous and asynchronous mode that is now the current buzzword. Use of the e-resources as a teaching aid is now globally accepted method of imparting professional education to students. Education in India particularly the higher education is criticized at the world level for its standards in research. To develop this endeavour of research in students E-resources can play a critical role. These allow students access to latest and the best available in their sphere of study. However, this method of pedagogy requires a different digital mindset and skill set both for teachers as well as students. Blended learning allows understanding different perspectives, inclusion of different and diverse knowledge bases in decision making and thus creating and wholesome environment for global education. The literature talks about the current use of blended models like flipped classroom allowing better participation, proper utilisation of e resources and new ways of evaluating students will also aid much more benefits if they are used in tandem with the conventional classroom teaching. Techniques like group discussion, presentation and case study method will ensure better participation and involvement of student.
This research makes use of the survey. Student perception and teachers’ perception regarding their blended learning experience was collected. A total of 142 responses were obtained from UG students and teachers of higher education institute in India.
Students expressed satisfaction with blended learning as a new and effective learning approach. The majority of students reported blended learning was helpful for exam preparation and concept clarification. The purpose of the research paper is to find the effect of implementation of blended learning on students' motivation, communication, interaction and academic success. Also, to check whether blended learning approach make the teachers and the students reach the educational target during Pandemic. This study contributes to the emerging literature on the role of pedagogical training. The student survey also indicated that a majority of them found the flipped classroom approach very useful, interesting and motivating. This paper also hopes to highlight that online learning provides opportunities for exciting and innovative experiences by engaging teachers in the learning platform and the use of experiential learning strategies.Keywords:
