Abstract:
The integration of mobile technology in education has revolutionized the way learners access and consume knowledge, in all levels of education, including tertiary education. Within this frame of increasing demand for digital transformation in education, e-learning support centers are expected to facilitate and lead this transition and mobile learning has emerged as a viable option to enhance their function. This study aims to explore how an e-learning support center can benefit by the use of mobile learning in distance education and how it can transform the traditional educational paradigms into the newest trends, such as “bring your own device”, or “choose your own device” in learning processes. The study followed a systematic review approach, utilizing a comprehensive search strategy to identify relevant studies published between during the covid-19 pandemic. A total of 20 studies were included in the review. Our bibliography research identified a set of best practices regarding the role of e-learning support centers, which regularly omit mobile learning. Furthermore, attempt is made to justify why this set of best practices should include the factor of mobile learning technologies, as a factor that significantly contributes to the effectiveness of an e-learning support center. The findings suggest that mobile learning promotes e-learning support centers by providing access to a wide range of digital resources, facilitating communication and collaboration, enhancing engagement and motivation, and supporting personalized and adaptive learning. Mobile learning also enables educators to deliver content that is accessible and relevant to learners' needs and preferences, enhancing their learning experiences. Moreover, the integration of mobile learning in e-learning support centers has the potential to enhance the reach and impact of these centers by providing anytime, anywhere access to learning resources and support services. In conclusion, mobile learning is a promising technology that can promote e-learning support centers and enhance the quality of education.
