Abstract:
Co-creation research methodologies help set off a shared and collective environment where to collect original data aimed at designing effective public spaces. The paper focuses on a master's degree thesis in spatial design characterized by the extensive co-designing progress which is considered as a generator tool to elaborate the research problem from a user-centered approach. The research strategy is enhanced thanks to users’ insights and self-experiences for an outdoor public space design that is integrated with a broader renovation process. The paper primarily aims to explore co-design drivers in inclusive research methodologies by various sets of comparative co-design devices through involving diverse ages, statuses, and contexts. Due to the site area’s criticality and viability for forthcoming solutions, the variety of participatory methods requires to include stakeholders, municipality officers, and site users in order to manage a meaningful exploration for the research’s content.
