Abstract:
The study reports outcome from the results of two separate research projects which concentrated on development of andragogical advice approach in the context of professional teaching, as well as on assessment of certain aspects in relation to the profession amongst Slovak teachers and their teaching compatriots. Partial aim of the above mentioned projects was to identify differences in life satisfactions of the assessed groups of teachers. The study includes the results from the modified Life satisfaction questionnaire (J. Fahrenberg – M. Myrtek – J. Schumacher – E. Brähler), and we concentrate on identification of certain factors in six different areas of teachers’ professional life (N159, average age - 41 years old). We discovered that the respondents are extremely satisfied in all areas included in the assessment. The differences in satisfaction that were found in certain areas between Slovak teachers and their teaching compatriots were predominantly in favour of their teaching compatriots .
