PERSONALITY-ORIENTED APPROACH IN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (CULTUROLOGICAL AND ETHNOPSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS)

Abstract:
The article is based on the analysis of pedagogical experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language at the stage of pre-university and university preparation of students of non-linguistic specialties. The authors propose to take into account the cultural, social, psycho-physiological etc. peculiarities of the adult students, introducing the idea of Personality-oriented Education. It is highlighted in the article that Personality-oriented Education is of extremely importance on the novice level in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Authors consider various types of the target audience: students of different origin (American, European, African, Asian etc.), students with different native languages (English-, French- or Chinese-speaking, in the latter case the language is typologically different compared to Russian), students with different language experience (learning Russian as a second or a third language), students of different psycho-emotional types (Extrovert and Introvert) and study the influence of extra linguistic factors at the process of language learning. Authors give examples from practice, recommendations to incorporate a number of important factors, marking the target audience. It is concluded that the concept «competence of the modern teacher of Russian as a foreign language» has been expanded. Keywords:
