Abstract:
De + signare the origin of the word design means making something, distinguishing it by a sign, giving it significance, designating its relation to other things, owners, users or gods. This situation orients the act of design from creating material things which are object-oriented to the human-oriented creations. Therefore spatial design tends to gather contextual practices with scientific knowledge by making them associate with each other in order to fulfill the human’s the spiritual and physical needs. In this context the subject of this study is an enclosed shipping container. The main aim is to questionize how the container, as an investigation object for the spatial design process, can get the process of change and how it can be converted for the user and her experiences. On this direction some gained experiences from the application of the course, which is introduction to interiror design, on making relationships between usage and object, user and space, interior and exterior, new and old, natural and artificial, artificial and artificial for specified purposes will be shared by means of the container and its creative interventions.
