Abstract:
The Information Systems (IS) curriculum presents a systematic way of teaching the main topics in information systems. Following this curriculum the basic required theoretical knowledge are obtained by the students. On the other hand, it is also important how this knowledge is presented and how the students understand the theory.
The right balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills is an important part of the modern university education in Information systems and related areas. Most universities have strong traditions in teaching fundamental courses but practical education is still a challenge.
In this paper we present a specific approach that use working on projects as an integral part of the education in Information Systems programs for both – graduate and undergraduate students. The projects are used to support not just one but several different courses in the IS curriculum. Keywords:
